okay, so i am currently in year 11 of secondary school so we are planning for our future careers. Basically, my main aim is to become a graphic designer however my back up would be something in the computer industry- i was thinking perhaps programming as i figured there would be a lot of money there. Obviously im planning to do a graphic design course at university but i figured there are a lot of designers out there so if i dont manage to get a job, i would perhaps do programming however if i did ICT, and Computer Science at A level, would that be enough to get into this field of work? of course i have 2 spaces left but they are more design based subjects like graphics, for my graphic design uni course.

My only worry was, that i would need maths or physics or something to be able to get a job in this, or that i would need a degree or something, which im not planning on doing because i want to do graphic design, but im just planning options i guess

thanks in advance 🙂

You can get a job computer programming when you are competent to do the job. How long you sat in a stupid classroom means almost nothing.
jcastro:
Yes, that's enough. Math is good to have, but not mandatory: the mental discipline trained by math is useful to programming.
gaermjoy123:
Yes
Kaysibabes:
maths is always good to have

many programmers have a degree though I have known without
