So i installed fresh windows 7 ultimate.
Everything worked fine untill i tried to install drivers for usb. It gave error messege "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"!
When i checked it in Device Manager and under Other devices one of two "Unknown
devices" at details was "usb3/root_hub"
Does someone know how to fix this so i can use my usb ports?

Lemz: I agree with brayden. Follow the steps below to make Win7 update. Always restart after manually installing the following updates. If you get any errors while scanning for updates, restart then try again.

1. First make sure Win7 "SP1" is installed (see below). Skip to step 2 if already installed.

2. Click start – Control Panel – Windows Update – Change Settings – Select "Never Check For Updates" – click OK then restart.

3. Manually install win update client KB3138612, then restart. Scroll down & choose either x86 or x64: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3…

4. Manually Install (in order) these 2 updates below then restart. Scroll down & choose either x86 or x64:
A. KB3177467: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3…
B. KB3172605: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3…

5. Go into control panel – windows update – click on "check for updates" (Should take around 15-20 minutes tops before it finds all the updates.)

6. Keep running updates manually until everything is up to date. When finished you can change settings to update automatically if wanted.

Win7 SP1: Scroll down & choose one of the following: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842
windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe – This installs Sp1 to a 64-bit PC running Win7
windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe – This installs Sp1 to a 32-bit PC running Win7

I hope this helps you out. Good luck!

Lemz:
Do you have your driver disk for your motherboard the drivers you need will be on it.
Everytime you do a fresh install of windows you will need the motherboard driver disc to set up your computer properly. or do an internet search for them. Updating win 7 is very unlikely to install drivers for USB ports
Sadig:
Search goolge download (intel USBC :intel universal serial bus controller may work or search intel generic USB Hub thaaanks
brayden:
After you reinstalled Win 7, did you get caught up on your windows updates? This issue should have been resolved in the windows update process.
Philip:
Sometimes getting the drivers from the manufacturers website for a pc is necessary when doing a fresh install.
