This happened with the 2-nd laptop which cable is is much ticker than previous

Hi melted call;es usually mean a lot of current is being drawn so the laptop has a serious fault. maybe the battery is swollen so take it to a computer tech.

Well, there's a whole number of reasons why. But instead of TURNING ON said laptop to post an online question, I would IMMEDIATELY take it to a trained professional BECAUSE MELTING THINGS ARE USUALLY A BAD SIGN.

Too much heat.

To much voltage….to much resistance…..not a good sign….
