1º – Intel Core i5-6200U, processor 2.3ghz, 8gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce 940M 4GB dedicated graphics memory.
2º Intel Core i7-6500U, processor 2.5ghz, 8gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce 920M 2GB dedicated graphics memory
I want to use it for regular internet use, programming and virtual machines
Pedro: The first one has better graphics (940M), though it's still not that great. The second one has just useless graphics (920M), don't know why they even included it into the system, they could've just gone with the Intel embedded graphics which is just as good, and saved a lot of money. Anyways, you don't really need good graphics unless you play games.
Regular Internet use, and programming, just about anything will do for that. Virtual machines, requires a lot of RAM, 8GB may not be enough. Virtual machines might be slightly helped by the faster processor with the larger number of threads (the i7), but having more RAM is king for virtual machines.
for Programming, VMs, and regular use, the second laptop with the i7 will be better. it has a higher thread capacity and clock speed.
Because of better graphics card with double the ram of the other one.
Depends. What do you want/need to do with it?
