Best Answer:

Mr. Smartypants: Computer science is the science of how to get computers to do things. All kinds of things like driving a car, simulating the trajectories of spacecraft, video games, etc. IT is the science of how to use information, to gather it and organize it in reports and charts and graphics. You do use a computer for that but it would be information if you only printed it on 3×5 cards and sorted them.

Other answer:

Mr. Smartypants:
Computer science is a subset of Information Technology (IT).
