A wireless adapter is NOT a flash drive, they are totally different things. Considering network cables all need to work with all types of devices you can use any CAT5 or later patch lead. If you did not install the correct software and drivers for your wireless card on 10, how sure are you the wired card will work?
Neil:
The model of the router and the OS on the computer don't matter at all.

And you wouldn't use an ethernet cable with either a wireless adapter or a flash drive.

Any Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. I get them from Monoprice.com

Ethernet is ethernet is ethernet… all have the same plugs and any will work.
