In the absence of the picture, the only case I can think of that had a minimum distance was in the original thick wire Ethernet and its immediate successor – thin Ethernet. I believe the minimum distances between transceiver points was 1 metre. With the modern Cat 5, Cat 6 etc UTP cables, this restriction has disappeared as every cable is now a direct point to point link, whereas the original Ethernet relied on a single cable with multiple transceiver points connected to it.

Look at a wireless router. Note the antenna attached to the router.

Answer: minimum length of cable is zero. The antenna can connected to the radio with no cable between.

Use as little cable as necessary to connect. The shorter, the better, as wifi signals lose power traveling through longer lengths of coax cable.
