I will be buying a custom made laptop soon and i would like it to be as fast as possible.
I got a little confused when choosing the hard drives (mSATA-RAID-SSD), I know it is good to have the Operating System on a singular SSD drive and have a secondary HD for everything else, but where does the mSATA come in? and do i need a RAID if i have a SSD mSATA and High speed SSD drive.
does the mSATA store the operating system?…
Any help would be appreciated
Whatevers:
SSDs are the fastest. Don't bother with RAID on a laptop. mSATA is just a name for a type of SATA connector/drive that's smaller than the desktop default.
Barnes:
Not really sure what you mean. However SSD drives are much faster than conventional hard drives. I use an SSD for the OS and programs and store data on my larger hard drive.
Tyler:
SSD.
