If your password will the same then log in and change your email if your password was too changed then start the recovery option the mobile or contact number you provided to Facebook your password is recover from their it may took some time .
Dave:
Nobody hacked it (FB has never been hacked). PLEASE stop using a word that you have no clue what it means.

The ONLY way this can happen is:

A. You used a public computer to log into FB AND your email. You left it up and someone took advantage of your stupidity.
B. Your computer/device is infected with malware, and is sending your credentials to someone so they can log in.

Clean your computer. (I suggest Malwarebytes). Make sure your phone isn't infected (if you were dumb enough to root it, forget about it).

Then contact FB and start the recovery process. Takes about 2-3 weeks. If you can prove it's yours they will help you.

If your password still works, log in, change the password at once and the email back to yours.

Nobody hacks anyone's account without knowing any information about us so maintain a password which they cant find
Eg. 78uhhj@k$#
no body can find this type of password soo I think it may be useful to you buddy.

facebook can be hacked it sent me a warning that someone is trying to take my account it someone tried tochange my pass the same person who was using my fb cover photo
but its not necessarily hacking
Marshall:
You should have enabled 2 factor authentication so even if they got your password it wouldn't matter.
