Will there be a noticeable jump in speed? More than a simple yes or no would be appreciated! Thank you
Gabeasaur: "Should I upgrade from my MacBook Pro (Early 2013) to a MacBook Pro 2016?"
If the Early 2013 is 15-inch screen with 2.8GHz quad-core i7 processor and 16GB of memory, it will perform faster for most tasks than a 2016 13-inch with 2.0GHz dual-core i5 and 8GB of memory. It may be too harsh for me to say "More then the simple year would be appreciated!"
In other words, you didn't tell us what you now have and what you are planning to buy. That's the only difficulty I have in making a comparison.
For opening apps and documents, the 2016 has the advantage of a faster type of PCIe-based storage.
For most tasks you would not notice any difference in speed. If there is something you need to do that you cannot do on your current computer consider updating it otherwise do not bother.
Will it be an upgrade? Why not keep the mac, and buy a surface book to run alongside it?
as u wish
