Yea I have 16GB of RAM installed on my computer and only one half is shown to being used and it is majorly confusing as I know for a fact that I installed them correctly
deanyourfriendinky: Step 1: Go to http://www.crucial.com/
Step 2: Use the Crucial scanner to identify your computer and how much RAM the motherboard can accommodate.
The results from the Crucial scanner should show each of the RAM slots on your computer's motherboard, and identify how much RAM is installed in each RAM slot. You should be able to identify immediately what the problem might be, based on the results of the Crucial scanner.
1) your pc dont let you put extra 8 in
2) your OS is poor and restricts you to the size of ram you already had.
3) you are not telling us something.
Wrong type of memory? 32 bit Windows? Wrongly installed?
Bad RAM, is it fitted properly, is the 2 sticks different, is it compatible, bunch of questions
Does the board support it?
