I had saved my file about a dozen times so I expected to be able to find it when I reopened Word, but it's not there. It just disappeared into thin air. I'm sort of pissed off. Can anyone tell me how to fix this stupid problem?
Oh, and also, there was another file open which I had saved many times also. It was a TEN THOUSAND WORD STORY I had been working on, and now for some reason it's reduced to six hundred words!! I know I saved it many times, but nothing I wrote is there! I have no idea what's going on, and if I can't fix

Alexabeth L.:
You can search file explore for the name. Assuming you don't know where you saved it too.
Chris P:
Open File Explorer, then search for your file by name.
chrisjbsc:
WHERE did you save it? Which folder did you save it to?
What OS and version are you using? Does the recent files option point to it?
Jamie:
Check your %Appdata file on your computer and see if it autosaved.
clikclak:
Just do a search for the filename
