I have very religious, conservative family, and I "like" a lot of controversial/dirty type posts/pictures etc. When my friends "like" photos, or comment on posts, sometimes it shows up on my feed "So and So liked this photo" & it shows the photo, and i'm sure my likes/comments

I am wondering if there is any way to hide that from happening? I want to be able to "Like" a photo but hide the fact that I "liked" it from my timeline. I know if they happened to see the picture elsewhere, they would be able to see my name in the list of "Likes" but thats fine, they wouldn't ever see the pictures otherwise.

You are asking something that runs against FB's principles. Time to leave FB.
Daniel:
you cant everything that you do on facebook gets posted to the
newsfeed automatically the only thing you can do is if you have someone
specific that you dont want to see your posts add them to the
restricted list and they wont see your posts you can find the restricted
list by going to settings then go to blocking should be under there
