My mom works in the school I go to and she said that there was a an investigation going on because someones was caught cheating and that the school was looking through emails and text messages. This made me wonder if the school can see and look through my devices if I'm connected to their wifi. Is it possible?

If the computer is owned by the school so they gave it you and the email you use is from the school then they can look all they want it is theirs to control they are allowing you to use it. Just like people at work if its their email they are responsible for how people use it you are just being allowed to use it. If its your own then most is done securely so they cant get in anyway. But if your using google or outlook, the connection might not be secure so they can see it anyway. All boils down to who owns the actual computer.
Adrian:
If it is a school computer, they can look at anything they want. If you used your own computer, odds are they would not have allowed it onto their network, so how did that connect in the first place?
Their network, their rules.
Robt:
YES
