I recently bought a laptop HP 14-ac150tu and it already has windows 10 and when the seller in the store try it, it looks fine and normal. But when I try it at home, the respond from the apps kind of slow, in fact that are some apps or software can t opened and if I want to open it, I have to click run on the software so it could be open. Even when I opened 3 apps and 2 folder, its more slower and kind of lag. I have 1 netbook and 2 computers before but never like this. Yes, after few years, the netbook or computers kinda of lag and very slow but I never had this experience before. Is it a normal reaction for a new laptop? Should I came back to the store and make them check it? Or is it a normal reaction? Please answer my questions. It s kinda bugging me.
puan S: paun, while the others may be right about Windows needing to update, I was not satisfied that it was the only problem(s). I went to the HP Support Website for your "Notebook"/laptop at the link found below. I did find several possible reasons for the slowness as listed here.
1) CPU Speed 1.6ghz which is fairly slow
2) Hard Drive speed 5400rpm which is slower than most desktops with 7200rpm or faster
3) RAM speed is 1600mhz which should be sufficient, however there is only 2gb which is not enough for more than 1 program or app at a time
4) the standard HP included power supply(adapter) is only 45w and I'm quite sure they recommend a 65w supply for better performance
HP Support Assistance an included software title will give you access to all specs or use link below.
I hope that this helps with the mystery as to why it is/seems to operate so slowly. You can also contact HP Support at the number in your included paperwork for other possible resolutions to most problems, they can and will help you for as long as the "notebook" is under warranty.
if win update is running in the background it may run slow using the broadband to download the files if it. id give it a week or two to catch up with its updates.
as well, check your privacy settings for apps and stuff and turn them off
It may be downloading a bunch of updates, leave it running overnight let it update and try again. This may need several starts before it is fully updated
Let it Update. Reboot. Let it update. Then recheck…
