I was playing a game on my ipad, and it suddenly froze. I've tried the normal way to restart it, but the power off slider never appears. I've also tried holding the home button and power button for ten seconds, even thirty-seconds, but it DOESN'T work. I've even tried holding power, volume down, and home button but NOTHING WORKS.

It's been over eight hours, and it's still frozen. The screen times out normally and the power button still turns the screen on ans off, but i can't shut it down.

The screen is turning a dark green and in some places, black. Little black lines are appearing ??

it's worth noting that the iPad is not damaged at all, i haven't dropped it, no water damage, it didn't overheat, everything was perfectly fine, no viruses or anything

?????? if anyone knows anything on other ways to power it down, or what could be wrong with it, please help

taylor:
Take the back off and pull the battery out before a malicious code burns out your device.
First hold down the home button and the sleep wake button upper right.

If that doesn't work get the battery out fast!

Google how to replace the battery and get it out let it sit with no power for a half hour then restart it with the battery in it

James Ma:
Hold the power button and the home button on at the same time to hard reset. This won't affect anything but is the best way people use. Best wishes! 🙂
Secret Sweet Angel:
Hold the turn of button and the button at the bottom at the same time until the iPad will turn off.
BRIAN:
The Apple site recommends connecting to a computer and linking iTunes.
Then opt for "update"
Kyle:
you may need to contact apple support in that case. try plugging it in for an hour to see if it powers on itself.

otherwise, it maybe out of your hands and need a replacement or send it in for repairs.
