I had 35mbps internet and upgraded to 100mbps because I was only getting 2.5 dl and i STILL only get 2.5 Is it my router? I have wave broadband.

Other answer:

Alec:
One, at 35 Mbps, your computer will tell you 4.172 MBps
Two, at 100 Mbps, your computer will tell you 11.92 Mbps (NO, NOT 12.5 you ninnies, computers use 1024 byte K's not 1000)
Three, for a test, bypass the router. You will need to reboot both unless you know how to make the computer get its address again. Do your speed tests again.

If you have DSL, take apart, clean, re-assemble every phone jack in the house. Get filters too so that voice noise is off the modem line.
For Cable, good cables etc.

After all that, call your ISP if you still have issues.

You do know that package you have is a " data allotment " package of 400 gigs per month…..see if you have exceeded that amount…..see if you are being throttled back….
