If you don't have antivirus software, how do you know you got a virus? Did you get a pop up that said you had a virus? If yes, then it was most likely just a scareware ad. If you are running a Windows computer, you do need Antivirus Software. The best thing to do is to do a layered security. Use 1 Antivirus, 1 Ad-blocker, 1 Anti-Exploit, and 1 Anti-Malware. The following programs I recommend using. Avast Antivirus. uBlock Origin. Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. These will cover your computer enough to block almost all infections. The rest is up to you. Be smart in what you click on and what you install. Read every install page of any program you install to avoid installing PUP's/adware.

Sure. Not that many folks buy it now days. Actually, it comes free with many ISPs. ATT and Comcast are just two that provide good protection. Speaking of free virus protection, it is provided by windows 10 and windows 7. Search on defender.
