Hi! I am a total beginner at making HTML Codes I hope I don't sound off as lazy but I actually have researched this all around google but was unable to fully understand how it works Please help me out as I need this immediately for school. Thanks!

So I want to make an html document using only notepad (It is my only option)

So I want my html to have a text input on top that will insert that text in every fixed sentence below it.,
Then, before every sentence, there is a button that will copy the entire succeeding sentence to the clipboard so I can paste it in another program.

It should look like this

—————————————

Topic: ( Algebra )

[Copy] The subject Algebra is a Mathematics subject.
[Copy] Algebra is a bit hard but fun!

—————————————

!The parenthesis represents an input box and my input is the subject Algebra.
!The brackets is supposed to be the button that will copy the entire sentence after it.
Also, the word "Algebra" in every sentence is supposed to be a variable that will reflect whatever is input in the topic parenthesis

Please help me out 🙂 Thank you so much!

SESSIE: Here's how to do this with basic JS: https://jsfiddle.net/khrismuc/d0L0yhjb/

I can't imagine this is the actual assignment though? Support for copying to the clipboard was only added very recently to the browser's JS engines.

You can't do that using HTML.

HTML is a markup language for controlling the layout of text and images – it is not a programming or scripting language.

You'd need to use a programming or scripting language instead.

Duncan:
HTML is a document markup language. You cannot do what you want to do with HTML. You will need to use a programming language to achieve that….

You left that a bit late. It requires a LOT of html and javascript. not enough room here to tell you.

too lazy to do the copy buttons though so you'll have to do that yourself.

But that seems like a pretty advanced thing to ask of a beginner tbh. Do they actually want it to copy to the clipboard or just highlight the text and let the user copy the text themselves?

EddieJ:
You told @ranjit that you were already aware of how to do the beginning stuff, but YOU should have showed us the parts you already know how to do, otherwise, you are asking us to do more work.

So, even though you claim you didn't want to sound lazy, you DO sound very lazy.

Always start with <html> then leave a few spaces then write <head> then <body> and the closing tags are </html>, </head> and </body>
