I recently bought a TP-Link router and i was wondering how you would set it up with a DSL modem.
Old: Depends. Sometimes, it can be as simple as disabling DHCP on the DSL gateway and plugging the new router into the gateway.
Other times, you have to put your DSL gateway into a bridge mode and do a decent amount of configuration changes.
I know for AT&T DSL and U-Verse, you have to put your gateway into a bridge mode. The "new" 2WIRE gateways don't have a real bridge mode, so it makes it a bit more difficult.
Go to the tp-link website support section for your model and download the setup guide. Without a model number we are just guessing.
