Some wireless mouse won't run on Win 10. In some of those instances, the manufacturer released a Win 10 driver update. But in other instances the manufacturer didn't and you have to buy a new mouse. So if you have a wireless mouse, then go to the manufacture website and look up your model to see if there is a Win 10 driver. If it's not, then you will likely have to buy a new mouse if it's not running on Win 10.

Other than this, there is nothing unique or special you have to do for a mouse to run on Win 10.

Assuming that the Mouse is a relatively popular brand name like Microsoft or Logitech that is.

Just plug the USB cable or Wireless Transceiver into the PC running W 10, and it will auto-configure itself.

If the Programming you allude to is for a Gaming Mouse, go to the Mouse Manufacturer's website and look for W 10 CERTIFIED Device Drivers.
