This is my own PC ( not company used) I would like to share Excel with my friend who is using his own PC. Would it be possible to set shared drive between the 2 PCs?
Zack: You'd be much better off installing dropbox and sharing a folder there. Easier to manage and insures that no one can see the shared drive (plus you don't have to be on the same network, which a shared windows drive will require).
Go to 'My Computer', right click on the drive in question, then click 'Properties' and about 3 lines down you will an icon of a hand holding a drive – and the words, "share drive'. Click this.

But if it were me, I'd just go the simple route by using something like onedrive.com, dropbox.com, google drive, etc
He can NOT share the program. It only works on the one machine it is installed on.
If you're on the same network as the other computer, its easy to do. If its not, just use dropbox.
