No they do not pay each YouTuber that much money. Many channels are not monetized.

Advertisements is how YouTube is trying to make money and they share a small portion with some channels. A channel has to have 1000 Unique views where each person watches the advertisement. The channel earns 15 cents for every thousand views. So it's not a lot of money.

NOTE: If you see a number for views on a video, this is the GROSS view count, not unique, not the count that watched advertisements.

If you are uploading your own videos and have the right to publish it (meaning you are not using a Riahnna song for example) you are probably in the guidelines for ad sharing. YouTube will let you place ads on your videos and you get a percentage per views.

If you upload a video with content that you don't own, like a lyrics video to a Rihanna song, YouTube will put ads on it, and share the money with whoever owns the rights. Or delete it:(

YouTube doesn't pay anyone. You share ad revenue with them

YouTube is being paid for advertisments from all the videos, and every video that you make money off of YouTube invests some of the money meaning they take a partial 25% of the cash you receive.
Francesca:
Because once the YouTuber links Google AdSense to their channel, they make 68% of the ad revenue (see Google AdSense Revenue Share). YouTube charges advertisers when a viewer watches 30 seconds or more of the ad, and typically charges around $.18 per view (see How Much Do Ads on YouTube Cost).

YouTube earns money from advertisements which is shared to top YouTubers

First, you made a mistake saying they pay EVERY. they only pay the people that watch. How much they pay is based on how much they MAKE off that person. They show ads the more people that see the ads the more money THEY make. Then THEY give the entertainer a few pennies of what they make.

Don't get $$$ in your eyes you wont make that kind of money you just wont….unless you're entertaining.

JoseGarcia:
What Francesca says but they are getting rid of youtube monetization for the common videos.
