im working on a project and im getting frustrated cuz im trying to change the color balance of one layer but it changes the whole projects color balance

Best Answer:

Andrew: Select the layer you want to effect. Add a Color Balance adjustment layer to it. Right click on the adjustment layer and select Create Clipping Mask. Be sure you are clicking on the LAYER, not on the icon for the adjustment or for the mask. Now it only effects the layer below it.

Other answer:

Andrew:
right click on color balance and pick create clipping mask this makes it so the change only affects the layer directly below it
Lucius T Fowler:
Take the whole layer you want to change as a mask layer, work with that, and then merge it back into the whole image.
lau:
Change the color

Have you tried locking the other layers?
