If you upgraded your Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10 and during that upgrade you asked to make a copy of your old operating system, you can revert back. If you didn't or if you have Windows 10 from start, you need a Windows 7 or 8 full version CD and need to wipe the drive clean. Be advised that if you have a new machine, there might not be any drivers to accommodate your internal devices.

Chris P:
1) Buy a copy of Windows 7 or 8 from a shop or online retailer.
2) Backup any data you want to keep.
3) Boot your computer from your Windows 7 or 8 installation disc.
4) Carry out a clean install.
5) Use Windows 7 or 8 for a year, then realise what a terrible mistake you've made; as software and hardware driver support dries up; and security updates cease.
6) Pay for Windows 10 (again) then reinstall it.
7) You're back where you started but have less money.

After the free upgrade to Windows 10, you have 30 days to change back to the previous version. After 30 days, you are stuck. I uninstalled 10 after about 2 weeks of using it. I went back to Windows 7. I don't remember where the link is to do that. Search online for it if it hasn't been 30 days.
Higgy Baby:
You can still install 7 or 8 if you have an install disk…..BUT- 7 or 8 must have been the original OS in order for your key to work.

I think you can download a copy of 7 and 8 from the internet. you should back up your data though as it takes up space, and could wipe your computer
brayden:
You will have to buy Win 7 or Win 8 (whichever you prefer) and install it.
Dave:
Nope.
