I can t get into safe mode either, it s not working. It says "boot manager has been blocked by your security settings." What can I do to get my computer back up and running?

Might be able to do a "Repair Install" of only the Windows files from a USB flash drive that is bootable or similar from a DVD. See BIOS to change boot priority order. Change it back later.
This way, no personal files or settings are lost. Search Google how to.
Ianab:
Restore the system from your Restore partition or Windows disk that came with it.

You don't know exactly what is messed up, and neither do I. Basically wipe it clean and start again.

BTW, most of those "Driver Updaters" are either useless or dangerous.
If your machine is working properly, why update it? If it needs updating to fix a problem, get the right drivers from the manufacturers web page.

Have you tried backup and reimage? In startup repair or can you not access that because of bootloop.
Chris Ancor:
Install your backup.
