Yesterday I was on a computer and yahoo turned into a thing that wanted me to download a fake adobe flash player. I know it can't be that my device had a virus because I'm on a different device now and yahoo just did that same thing. I know this device didn't get anything from it however because I have a lot of anti virus programs on it. Could yahoo have a virus?

Best Answer:

G. Whilikers: Ads can sometimes contain evil (or at least rude) program code that hijacks your web browser to try to fool or coerce you into doing something. This is usually something the web site itself doesn't want, but when there are so many ads to manage it's hard to police every single one of them. When you do encounter one of these ads, do the web site a favor and report it so they can do something about it.

Yahoo technically can't have a virus, as it's just a website. It might have pop-up ads, though.

More than one anti-virus reduces security by up to 60 %. They conflict and prevdent each other from handling infections.

yahoo doesnt have a virus. if anything you do you should probably use better searching habits and scan your computer. use avast and malwarebytes dont use all the other bullsh** programs out there
