Say i buy a vpn. I have comcast at home. Can judges still she what sites i watch. Imostly watch porn videos really dirty ones. Dont want jurors to think im a pervert.
Also if i download porn into vodeos and have a passlock
If the judge subpoenas YOUR computer, then it doesn't matter if you use VPN or not. The history and the files are still on your computer.
If she subpoenas records from Comcast, they'll only see the traffic from your IP address. This doesn't mean it came from your computer as someone could have been using your public WiFi — something that Comcast (stupidly) allows.
Trying to match traffic to a specific user in a public wifi setting such as Safeway or a Cafe is impossible because there is no end-user identification and most such networks don't even keep logfiles. At best, all they could do is show that porn sites matching those on your computer's usage logs, were being accessed at the time you were physically in the cafe. However this is circumstantial evidence and doesn't really prove anything one way or another — especially if those same sites were accessed when you WEREN'T present (implying, someone else could have accessed those sites when you were there.)
Using VPN with your phone is the same as using it with your computer. Your provider (Sprint) can see you sending and receiving traffic with the VPN provider, but won't be able to tell what that traffic is. That's the point of the VPN.
If the Court wanted to view your Internet activities they subpoena the parties involved
You / LAN,
If your VPN and Connecting sites are in another country they may not be ordered to appear but still requested…
The Jury can and will make any and every assumption of you unless you can prove them with facts.
Read southpaw's answer and read it a second time. He is correct. I spent a lot of years in U.S. Federal Law Enforcement in the U.S. and there is no way to hide any IP either of your equipment or the connection point from your ISP. A simple call to the court gets a court order and the ISP is more than happy to cooperate and supply your entire history.
Obviously there must be identifiers from your machine sent with every packet or you would never receive a reply packet.
