i have the 2012 27inch iMac , and previously upgraded it from 4 gb to 12 gb, and i saw a pretty good improvement. Do you think upgrading it to possibly 32gb would be a big difference? Thoughts?

None of us can possibly know how much RAM you need. To get a general idea of how you use the current RAM….

– Use the system for at least an hour as you normally would, opening as many apps, documents, and browser tabs as you might on a busy day.
– In a Finder Window, press command shift G.
– Type
/var/vm
and then press Return.
– Press command 3.
– Look at the "swapfiles" in the column to the right and add together all their file sizes.

If the total for all swapfiles is under 2.5GB, you have enough RAM for your uses. If the total for all swapfiles is over 2.5GB, buy more RAM.

Yes it would be a big difference but also a bigger price tag behind it
