Mike: 2 years experience and an MCSE should get you an interview. But you will need to do well in the interview to get the job. There are lots of applicants who have this on their CV but still can't find their *** with both hands.
Becoming a sys admin isn't a question of experience or degree's.
It's about how a person does in their interview.
But then I knew a person who couldn't put together machine, much less install Windows.
They supposedly took a course, or courses.
I've held several positions with a couple of companies, and I have instructed a person on how to build, install and configure a couple of linux distro's using a VoIP solution.
I only have a GED.
