My pocket wifi got stolen recently and I was wondering if it's possible to trace its location once turned on. It has password and I know its IP address. Is it possible? If yes, how and what should I do?

Best Answer:

joe.jervis518: unfortunately not. You should phone the phone company who provided it and have the device barred so that it's unusable for anyone else

PING for it. Once it is visible, use TRACERT to discover how it is connecting to the Internet.

Unless you had a pay service or your ISP had a service when a stolen device can be locked / contents erased…I'm afraid your outta luck….

If its passworded i doubt it will be any good to the finder – get the company to kill it and transfer any balance to your new one.
